Onda (Italian for ‘wave’), is a new device made by Deka in Italy which harnesses smart Coolwaves™ technology for body contouring applications for the reduction of cellulite, fat and skin laxity. What is Microwave Technology?
Microwaves are part of the electromagnetic spectrum (frequency range: 1-300GHz) and are common in many areas of everyday life, from at home to the medical field. The utilisation of this wavelength has been proven to be safe and effective in interacting with biological molecules and generates localised, controlled heat absorbed by selected biological targets, like water and fat, through a process called “dielectric heating”.
How Does Microwave Technology Work?
The utilisation of microwaves at 2.45GHz, is a frequency that is preferentially absorbed by adipose cells to tackle localised fat deposits, destroy fat cells and immediate shrinkage and stimulation of the collagen fibres for dramatic skin tightening in a safe, effective and non-invasive way. What are the Indications?
