Onda Featured in Tatler Beauty and Cosmetic Surgery Guide 2020
The lowdown – Eighty to 90 per cent of women have cellulite – whether it’s clinging to the backs of legs, spreading across hips or concentrated on the bottom. And tackling it is frustratingly tricky. But new kid on the block, Onda, the latest launch from Lynton Lasers is putting a stop to orange peel with its clever Coolwaves system. The innovative microwave technology which took scientists 25 years to perfect, is delivered to lumpy areas by what looks like a small hand-held torch; bypassing the upper layers of the skin and in doing so, delivering more energy to the subcutaneous fat cells, where it works to break down localised fat pockets and cause apoptosis or ‘cell death’. It also stimulates the connective tissue, helping to smooth the appearance of wobble, while causing collagen fibres in the dermis to contract and become more compact: thus tightening and toning the skin. It takes roughly 30 minutes per area to treat – and best of all, you can lie down and take a nap while it’s all happening.

None whatsoever – no redness, no swelling, no indescribable itching. Carry on as you were.
Admittedly, it’s not an overnight sensation – you’ll need a minimum of four treatments, spaced one month apart, to really notice a difference. But course complete, there’s a definite reduction in cellulite wrinkle depth, while skin feels smoother and springier (85 per cent of case studies reported a significant improvement in orange peel). A shapelier silhouette isn’t far away…
