Advanced Laser Therapy for Intimate Care
MonaLisa Touch® offers a scientifically proven method to help restore vaginal health, addressing common issues like vaginal atrophy in pre and postmenopausal women. By tackling symptoms such as dryness, fragility and reduced elasticity, the treatment alleviates discomforts like itching, irritation and pain during intercourse. The CO2 fractional laser stimulates collagen production, naturally rehydrating and rejuvenating the vaginal tissues. This leads to improved client outcomes, including enhanced comfort, confidence and sexual well-being.
The procedure does not require anaesthesia. Some women may feel slight discomfort during the initial insertion of the probe, but the treatment itself is not painful. Many describe the sensation as a mild vibration.
MonaLisa Touch® is ideal for women experiencing symptoms related to decreased oestrogen levels such as during the menopause or after childbirth. As well as those dealing with effects from a hysterectomy or breast cancer treatments. Commonly treated symptoms include vaginal dryness, laxity, burning, discomfort during sex (dyspareunia) and mild urinary incontinence. It’s an excellent alternative for those seeking a less invasive treatment to surgery or pharmaceutical treatments.
Clients often report a significant reduction in symptoms like dryness, burning and discomfort during intercourse, along with relief from urinary symptoms. The treatment’s ability to rejuvenate the vaginal mucosa contributes to an overall better quality of life, making a real difference in your clients’ daily comfort and confidence.
MonaLisa Touch® effectively treats vaginal laxity, especially when it’s due to a loss of mucosal tone. However, it’s important to perform a thorough assessment to ensure there are no underlying issues such as prolapse or pelvic muscle involvement before proceeding.
The risks are minimal. MonaLisa Touch® is a safe, outpatient procedure, with most clients experiencing only mild, temporary side effects like slight redness or swelling. These usually subside quickly, making it a reliable option for your practice.
Most women notice improvement after the first treatment, although the full procedure involves three sessions typically completed over an 18-week period. The exact number of sessions will depend on the severity of the client’s symptoms and their response to the initial treatments – this will guide the best plan for each individual.
Most clients experience only mild discomfort immediately following the procedure and can return to normal activities within one to three days. It’s advisable to provide guidance on avoiding strenuous activities, hot baths and heavy lifting during the initial recovery period to ensure the best outcomes.
The results from MonaLisa Touch® typically last for at least a year, depending on factors like the severity of symptoms, the client’s age and lifestyle choices. Annual maintenance sessions may be recommended to sustain the positive effects.
MonaLisa Touch® is generally suitable for most clients with vaginal health concerns, including dryness, laxity and discomfort. However, a thorough medical evaluation is necessary to determine if the treatment is appropriate, particularly for clients with significant local or systemic health conditions.
It’s generally recommended that clients wait 2-3 days before resuming sexual activity. However, this advice should be tailored to each client based on their specific treatment outcomes and individual needs.
MonaLisa Touch® is delivered using the SmartXide laser system, designed by DEKA with proprietary features to ensure both efficacy and safety. Always verify that this original equipment is being used in your practice to provide the best and most reliable treatment to your clients.
