Due to its market-leading flexibility the SmartPICO can be used to treat a wide variety of skin concerns, utilising two wavelengths, four emission modalities and a wide range of handpieces. It can be used to treat a range of skin issues, such as:
The SmartPICO can also be used to deliver the in-demand carbon peel treatment (sometimes known as a “Hollywood facial”), which uses specialised carbon paste to clean impurities in the skin, encourage collagen and elastin production, and leave the skin looking younger and brighter.
The SmartPICO laser is a versatile and effective option for laser pigmentation removal on all skin types, including those with darker skin tones (include Fitzpatrick skin types 5 and 6) who may be more prone to hyperpigmentation or scarring from laser treatments. The SmartPICO is equipped with multiple dynamic handpieces, making it flexible enough to treat an array of conditions for all skin types. This flexibility means that it is customisable to meet the needs of every individual patient.
A carbon peel is a non-invasive laser treatment that deeply exfoliates the skin, stimulates collagen production, and treats a variety of mild to moderate skin concerns. The treatment involves applying a layer of liquid carbon to the skin, heating it with a Q-Switched laser, and then using the laser to fragment the carbon along with impurities such as oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria. The carbon easily attracts toxins and impurities, making it an effective treatment for acne, pigmentation, enlarged pores, melasma, photoaging, fine lines, and wrinkles. The treatment is painless, requires no downtime, and is suitable for different skin types.
The SmartPICO is the ideal device for delivering carbon peel treatments, and the specialised DEKA Peel and DEKA Peel handpiece make delivering the treatment even easier!
A picosecond laser delivers laser pulses with pulse durations that can be measured in picoseconds (trillionths of a second).
These lasers can deliver a much higher amount energy to the skin in shorter, faster bursts than nanosecond(billionths of a second) lasers, creating the photomechanical effect that shatters the targeted ink or pigment into even smaller fragments which can then be more easily eliminated by the body.
The SmartPICO is capable of delivering picosecond pulses at a very high peak power (nearly 2GW) to deliver superior clinical results.
If you are interested in the SmartPICO and everything it can offer to you and your clinic, then get in touch with us! Our expert team would be happy to help you with any queries you have.
