Experts in laser cleaning technology.
Originating from the University of Manchester, Lynton is a world-leading, British-based manufacturer and supplier of conservation, surgical and aesthetic lasers. Set up in the early 1990s to develop laser systems for aesthetic applications, a chance meeting with conservators working at the pioneering Conservation Centre, National Museums Liverpool, led to Lynton developing the first commercially available laser cleaning system for conservation in the United Kingdom. Since then, we’ve continued to work closely with conservators, learning from their experience and responding to real challenges with each new generation of laser cleaning technology.
Today, Lynton Conservation systems are trusted by institutions and professionals worldwide, supporting the conservation of our cultural heritage – we are proud to have worked with museums, universities, heritage organisations and conservation companies in over 25 countries.

Trust – Trust is built through collaboration and continuity. We work closely with conservators, sharing knowledge shaped by decades of research and hands-on experience.
Tech – Our conservation lasers are shaped through ongoing dialogue with the people who use them. Designed for control, adaptability and ease of use, each system supports sensitive work across a wide range of materials.
Training – Training is tailored to meet the needs of the conservator. Carried out by our staff with over 30 years’ experience in researching and working with lasers in conservation, we provide practical guidance, ongoing support and shared expertise, helping conservators build confidence, capability and understanding.
