We have been one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of aesthetic technology since our launch in 1994, and now we’re taking our sustainability agenda to the next level for 2023 and beyond.
We have recently launched our new environmental and social development strategy, Hive, to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and to encourage the Aesthetics industry as a whole to do more. Defined as “for Planet, for People, for Good”, Hive enables us to deliver our ESG objectives in a co-ordinated, meaningful way that will hopefully set an example and pave the way industry-wide.
The Importance of Sustainability in Aesthetics
At Lynton, we’re committed to doing our part by making sustainable choices that underpin our business practices. We understand the importance of reducing our carbon footprint, and that’s why we’ve implemented sustainable practices that reduce energy consumption and waste. We use only energy-efficient devices and follow best practices to minimize our environmental impact. As our Managing Director, Jon Exley, explains, “sustainability is more than a value, it’s a key initiative for Lynton”.

Why is the initiative called “Hive”?
It is named Hive for several reasons:
- Bees have a crucial role in our planet’s ecosystem – without them, we would not last or exist;
- The beehive highlights the importance of working collaboratively and collectively to achieve ambitious goals;
- Bees are a nod to the company’s Manchester heritage – founded as a spin-off of the University of Manchester, the company’s roots are firmly in Manchester.
By re-launching our social development strategy with Hive, we are supporting our people, processes, and our productivity in a sustainable way.
Sustainability as a Core Value
Sustainability is of key importance to Lynton, and we believe that it’s our responsibility to operate in a way that minimises impact on the environment while providing the industry-leading devices, services, and support that our customers have come to expect from us. We are constantly evaluating our processes and looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and minimize waste, which has resulted in our being certified as carbon neutral in 2022. Our long-term goal is to become a net zero emitter, and as we continue to grow, we are investing in R&D and implementing sustainable practices across our operations and supply chain without compromising quality.
